Reading Great Writing for Inspiration


While working on a second novel, I am reading, @The Elegance of a Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery. Nothing like excellent writing to inspire or discourage ones efforts. Here are two wonderful examples of Barbery’s writing: The British have an expression that says it all. Brilliant!

1)”Like a storyteller transforming life into a shimmering river where trouble and boredom vanish far below the water, Manuela metamorphoses our existence into a warm and joyful epic”

2)”We laugh and converse for a while longer about one thing and another, in the calm space of an old friendship.”
