GETTING READY FOR THANKSGIVING
SIMPLE IDEAS FOR DECORATING ENTRY HALL OR SIDE TABLES
If you are lucky enough to have an entry hall table or side table in one of your rooms, they are perfect for showcasing holiday decorations. Adding a wreath on a mirror today will convert nicely in December with your Christmas things. Placing a basket of fresh greens under the table looks great, smells good. Simple candles, a collection you bring out for the holiday, easily done.
A round table is worth looking for in a consignment shop or Good Will. Take a can of spray paint and fix it up. You can throw a quilt, a plaid car blanket, or one of your scarfs across the table and create your design from there. This Thanksgiving, on a small scale, fill your table with your creativity.
A trip to the grocery store with your decorations in mind is a good idea. Buys nuts to fill your candle holders, look at vegetables like brussels sprouts, or cranberries. Clip some greenery and cover the table top nestling your ‘arrangements’ in.
While playing with your ideas, use the time to think of all you are thankful for.
