“Where is human nature so weak as in the bookstore?”
― Henry Ward Beecher
We all have our favorite bookstores. My husband, Bob, says, “Stepheny has never met a bookstore she doesn’t like.” While wandering along Charring Cross Road in London, I kept sticking my head in the door of the shops asking, “Have any Beverely Nichols?” A lasting memory happened that day when I felt a hand on my elbow as I started to step off the curb. “Don’t do it love, it makes such a mess at rush hour.” Remember, when you’re on Charring Cross Road, they drive in the ‘wrong’ lane.
