We all have our favorite bookstores. My husband, Bob, says, “Stepheny has never met a bookstore she doesn’t like.” While wandering along Charring Cross Road in London, I kept sticking my head in the door of the shops asking, “Have any Beverely Nichols?”  A lasting memory happened that day when I felt a hand on my elbow as I started to step off the curb. “Don’t do it love, it makes such a mess at rush hour.” Remember, when you’re on Charring Cross Road, they drive in the ‘wrong’ lane.

    What is it about bookstores? One can never spend enough time or have enough money or see everything at one visit. It is sort of like an old timey hardware store. Both are blessings.
