A Book Club Discusses Facing East

Here is a  message I am proud to share…..

“I loved our last gathering; having an author in our midst is truly special and Stepheny is an amazingly humble one. Even after TWO novels. The verdict was clear; we loved this book as much as the last one, and we’re already asking about the next. Thanks to Dolores for her excellent job as discussion leader, and her probes into the character and nature of the author over lunch.

We’ve been together a lot of years; I just have to say I’m so grateful for each and every one of you. What s great group of talented, amazing women!”     Nancy

My PS: to this lovely note is….belonging to a book club, reading things you might otherwise miss, sharing the love of reading, becoming dear friends over time, is one of the joys in life. I urge you to start a group, join one in progress, find a book club. I guarantee that if you TRY IT, YOU’LL LIKE IT.

  1. Congratulations on the success of your books! The book club sounds like a wonderful idea. Maybe one of these days I’ll have time for one.

Wonderful Stepheny! Looks like a great time shared with good friends and of course, a great book.

    • Amazing fun to hear people talk about the characters, what was meaningful to them. You wouldn’t expect people to say, “Oh, I hated it,” but you can tell when the enthusiasm is sincere. As the kids say, “It is way cool.”

What a grand idea…a grand result…and a grand reunion with friends of the past. I did recognize a few familiar faces in the photo. Well done. When is the next one coming out?

    • Are you working on something that will one day be discussed by your readers? Wish you could have shared the afternoon with me. It does feel amazing to hear what others think about the story, the setting, the characters etc.
